McCluer Senior High School, Florissant, MO
The McCluer Senior High School in Florissant, Missouri is seems to be haunted by long time former residents. The Taille De Noyer building is said to be the most haunted building on campus . Witnesses have reported seeing apparitions dressed in clothes that appear to be from the early 1800′s. This school was built in 1798 and is located in a northwestern suburb of St. Louis off I-270.

A McCluer Alum, just wanted to clarify a few facts. The old Taille de Noyer started as a log cabin around 1790 before being purchased and eventually expanded by John Mullanphy and his family into the present-day antebellum mansion. The school itself was not built until 1951 (M1 Building). Taille de Noyer used to be located where the gym (M4) is now located, but was moved around 1960 to save it.
The house is believed to be haunted by members of the Mullanphy family. I’ve never seen anything, but always got a creepy “I’m being watched” feeling anytime I had to jump the fence to retrieve tennis balls.
The house itself is open to tours on Sundays or by appointment.

I am a McCluer grad along with my sister, mother and uncle. My mom’s class was the first class to graduate from McCluer. I have shared this with my family and all we can do is laugh. Not saying that it couldn’t have some truth to it however I am going to have to place this under the “urban legends”. I played tennis and I can not recall a single moment that I felt as though there was something or someone there.
